The first time I viewed that area, I was awed, since one cannot really understand unless one sees it from the air. Living through earthquakes from that faultline during much of my life has been a nerve racking anxiety at times. Thank you for your gifted eyes and the beautiful pictures of Europe also. Wondered if you also have Haffner site that show many Haefner/Haffner names in Europe. I also have a Haefner in my genealogy, & wondered if you have written to those who signed your guestbk. Am trying to find descendants of Andreas Treutlen & Anna Maria Treutlen, married in 1744, Kürnbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. She was the daughter of Hanß Michel Treüttlin. Today we know the spelling of this surname as Treutlen in USA. Please write if you have anything on this, or have anything from other Haefner family genealogies. I'm interested in finding more, since I have a Conrad Haefner, who was in GA, & whose daughter, Christina Barbara Haefner married Casper Gerber in 1760. | Comments: | Yes, I would just like to elaborate on my comment posted Feb. 18 of 1999. At the time, I was doing research about the stature of Scott as being either cool, uncool or just a total crok. At the time of the posting, evidence pointed towards cool, but nothing conclusive, thus the apropriatly added "I think" to my statment. At the time I was deep into the search for the answer. Much time was spent with the subjuect and at it's website. Much intriging information was gathered and analized. I know finding the answer would not come easily and that I would have to sacrifice much of my life to finding out. Work went on feverishly but steadily and now can proudly say that I have finalized my research. I have concluded that Scott indeed is very cool. My wife and I have wanted to go there for years precisely because of REM and the other bands that come from there.
